Qatar is not a Hague Convention country, so the apostille that works for Spain or Mexico means nothing at a ministry in Doha. The seal they want is Qatar embassy attestation, and it only comes after the state and the U.S. Department of State have signed off. We run the entire sequence from Florida while you stay in Qatar or anywhere else.

It happens every month: someone apostilles a degree for a Qatar work permit and the sponsor's mandoub sends it back, because Qatar does not recognize the Hague apostille.
A university degree, a county marriage certificate and an FBI report do not enter the chain at the same door. One goes to the state, while another goes straight to Washington. Yet nobody draws the map for you.
The Embassy of the State of Qatar and the Department of State are in Washington, D.C. From Doha, showing up in person is not an option. Besides, email queues are slow.
If the state step was skipped or the copy is a plain photocopy, the embassy rejects the file. As a result, the weeks already spent are lost.
Residence permits, professional licenses and family visas in Qatar have fixed dates. So a returned file means renegotiating with the sponsor.
Board resolutions and certificates of incorporation for a Qatari partner usually need a chamber of commerce certification first. However, most people discover that at the embassy window.

The department of the issuing state certifies the document; the U.S. Department of State in Washington authenticates that certification. FBI reports and other federal papers begin directly in Washington.
With the federal seal in place, the embassy in Washington, D.C. attests the document. Qatar also maintains consulates general in the United States, and jurisdiction can depend on the issuing state, so we confirm the right office before submitting.
Once the document arrives in Qatar, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs usually attests it before a ministry, employer or court accepts it. That step is done in Qatar, by you or your sponsor.

Ministries and courts in Doha work in Arabic. However, the translation they accept is generally produced there, after the attestation, so do not translate in the United States first.
Certificates of incorporation, resolutions and agency agreements usually require certification by a chamber of commerce before the embassy step. Therefore, we add it when it applies.
Doctors, nurses and engineers often need the degree, the license and a good-standing letter attested together. So we keep them in one file, and they arrive at the same time.
