A sale, an inheritance division, a bank matter or a company you own. So your brother, your lawyer or a partner needs a power of attorney that the Shahr El-Aqari notary office will accept.
Egyptian consulates draw up powers of attorney for nationals who appear in person. However, if you cannot travel to New York, Chicago, Houston or Los Angeles, or you are not an Egyptian national, that door does not open.
Egyptian IDs, passports and U.S. records often transliterate the same name differently. As a result, a mismatch is the most common reason a power of attorney is refused in Cairo.

A power of attorney is signed before a Florida Notary Public; the Florida Department of State certifies the notary's signature and the U.S. Department of State authenticates that certification. Public records skip notarization and start at the issuing state.

Depending on who receives the document, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs may authenticate it before a notary office, court, bank or university accepts it. We tell you in advance whether to expect that step.

Notary offices, courts and ministries work in Arabic. However, the translation is usually made in Egypt after legalization, so we confirm what the receiving entity wants before you spend on it.
Certificates of incorporation, board resolutions and distribution agreements generally need a chamber of commerce certification before the consulate step. Therefore, we add it when it applies.
